THE STORY OF DECAYEUX STI
A family business
Founded in 1911 by the great-granduncle of the current CEO Stéphane Decayeux, this Picardy-based company is a key player in metal processing subcontracting (STI for subcontracting industrielle).
In 1985, after studying engineering in Lille, the current CEO Stéphane Decayeux joined the company.
He was then in charge of the company’s computerisation. “It was a great way to get to know all aspects of it.
In 1993, he took over from his father at the head of the company, which had become a holding company three years earlier.
Today DECAYEUX STI is a group with 9 production sites, 6 in France, 2 in Romania and 1 in Morocco.

Stéphane Decayeux has been a member of the Entreprendre en Picardie network since 2014, where he shares his long experience as a company director
OUR HISTORY
Eugène DHUILLE, great-granduncle of the current CEO, Stéphane DECAYEUX, creates the Company E. DHUILLE which specialises in the manufacture of alcohol stoves.
To do this, the company uses CUTTING AND STAMPING that allow it to position itself also as a subcontractor for all stamping parts (especially for the local industry: taps, locksmiths,…)
The company Eugène DHUILLE becomes DECAYEUX & LOISON, named after the nephews who took over the management.
Creation of a new technique of metal processing : the BENDING of tubes
Creation of a third technique of metal processing : the MATRICAGE brass
Creation of a workshop to complement the forging process, MACHINING DECAYEUX & LOISON becomes the only European subcontracting company that masters 3 distinct metal processing techniques in a single structure.
Acquisition of the second site in Saucourt (old building AMS) to host the activity luxury.
Acquisition of the Chepy to cope with development.
Creation of our Moroccan subsidiary DECAYEUX STM
Creation de notre filiale en Romania DECAYEUX STR to accompany our client
Creation a surface treatment and finishing unit in Romania : DECAYEUX MACHINING
Creation our logistics and production platform in Dagneux near Lyon for the air conditioning business.
Creation a new structure DECAYEUX LUXE in Besançon and acquisition of a majority stake in the company TECHLAM present in the same premises

DECAYEUX STI has been enriched with a commercial legal entity of the DECAYEUX group's Luxury Business Unit. This structure reflects the strong ambition to see our business develop in the buoyant luxury sector.
Creation of a new structure: DECAYEUX Golf.

Creation of the DECAYEUX STI PDM site located in Bourg-lès-Valence specialising in metal surface treatment.
Installation in the new building of the Luxury activity and reorganisation in the old building with the prototyping, the Fantasy Jewellery activity and the DECAYEUX PARIS activity
